Rare, complete set of 84 color plates illustrated by Vladimir Kirin.
Volume 1 features 16 plates with the costumes of Dalmacia, Bosnia and
Herzegovina. Volume 2 has 17 plates with costumes from Serbia,
Macedonia, Crna Gora, and Vojvodina. Volume 3 has 17 plates and is
devoted to the costumes of Croatia. Volume 4 has 16 plates with costumes
from Slovenia, Istra, and Hrvatsko Primorje. Volume 5 has 18 plates and
shows the regional folk dances from all over Yugoslavia. All of the
plates are accounted for. The second volume has the cover written in
Russian as opposed to Croatian, but the plates are in all of the
languages as listed above - just as the other volumes. A rare
find for anyone interested in Balkan folk dress. Please note that NOT
all of the plates are shown in the photos below - this is just a
representative sample. |
